AC2® 2 x 4 x 8' Ground Contact Green Pressure Treated Lumber
AC2® pressure treated lumber uses southern yellow pine to provide optimum strength and appearance on any outdoor project left exposed to the elements. Treated lumber is a renewable building product that's safe for use in any application, including those around pets, playsets, and vegetable gardens. AC2® treated lumber can be painted or stained to match any existing project. Wood is a natural product with many unique characteristics and properties. While wood's strength and workability make it great for general construction and building projects, other inherent characteristics make it subject to checks or splits and warping or twisting. In addition, the actual size is almost always smaller than the nominal (common name) size and may vary slightly depending on the moisture content.
Features
#2 Prime grade southern yellow pine
Ground contact level treatment (.15 pcf) has more than double the preservative of above ground level treated wood (.07 pcf)
Lighter, more natural wood appearance for improved staining qualities
Wood is a sustainable product, making it environmentally friendly
Kiln dried and heat treated prior to pressure treatment
Triple-coated, hot-dipped galvanized, or stainless steel fasteners are recommended
MicroPro® limited warranty
Actual size: dimensions at time of manufacture prior to pressure treatment. Product dimensions will vary depending on moisture content. If installing pressure treated wood that is still damp from pressure treatment, expect shrinkage to occur. See Pressure Treated Wood FAQ's for more information.
